Overnight Bear Viewing Experience:

Picture waking up in the heart of Bear Country after a restful night's sleep! Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea on the observation deck of our 100’ vessel, anchored just a few hundred yards from the beach. Observe a mother bear teaching her cubs to forage along the shore or witness big boars battling for dominance. This is more than just a daydream – Destination Alaska, with multiple turboprop floatplanes and the M/V Peregrine, turns these adventures into reality.

Here's what your experience entails:

Check-In and Scenic Floatplane Ride:
- Early check-in at our Beluga Lake office.
- Enjoy a floatplane ride down the spectacular coastline of Katmai National Park, landing in secluded bays or coves where the captain, crew, and guides await your arrival.
Stateroom Settle-In and Briefing:
- Settle into your stateroom.
- Gather in the galley for a safety brief and a review of your 4-night, 5-day itinerary.
Daily Photo Safari:
- Begin each morning with a hearty breakfast.
- Venture off with your guide for a day-long photo safari, encountering bears engaged in various activities in their natural habitat.
Evening Relaxation on the M/V Peregrine:
- Afternoon return to the Peregrine on the skiff.
- Enjoy a hot shower, home-cooked meal, and relax in the onboard hot tub.
Breathtaking Bear Viewing Locations:
- Captain and guides discuss potential moves to different areas for optimal bear viewing.
- Spectacular locations include Geographic Harbor, Kukak Bay, Kinak Bay, and Hallo Bay.
